RAI exhibition triennale Milan 01

“Italy through the Eyes of the RAI” exhibition

At the Triennale di Milano, until the 15 June, visitors can see the exhibition 1924–2014 – Italy through the Eyes of the RAI.
The exhibition gives the visitors the possibility to retrace the history of Italy through the institution that probably best embodies the Country’s evolution: the RAI, the Italian public service broadcasting corporation. Radio and TV for many years have been one the most important cultural means in the Country and its main vehicle for information and entertainment.

By proceeding along the exhibition path, a second section is focused on the Radio: rare old devices from the RAI museum in Turin and images depicting famous Italian radio shows as well as their protagonists.

The section dedicated to television is divided in eight thematic parts, every part is introduced by an A/V exhibit where  an Italian personality presents the relative theme; among them: Sergio Zavoli presents the history of Information, Emilio Ravel introduces the Entertainment section,  Andrea Camilleri the Culture section and Piero Angela the Science one. Inside each of these eight spaces, the different themes are depicted through audio-video documents presented with four interactive kiosks; one video is also projected on a rotational basis on the backdrop.
