A white carousel, looking like it came from a Kubrick film, revolves slowly in the middle of a former warehouse in Milan’s Central Railway Station, renovated and open to the public on the occasion of Milan Design Week 2017.
Lee Broom celebrated the 10th anniversary of the British design brand he founded by designing a site-specific installation tailored to the impressive space Ventura Centrale provided him for the 2017 edition of Milan Design Week.
Broom’s iconic pieces of furniture, accessories, and light fixtures are placed on the carousel, in an almost dreamy atmosphere.
Yet, the key piece of the “Time Machine” installation leans against the back wall of the large vaulted space in which the exhibition takes place. It is the latest design by Lee Broom: a grandfather clock, made in white Carrara marble and produced in limited edition to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the brand.
