The Getty Museum atop the Santa Monica mountains lies in Los Angeles, California. It is a world-renowned museum designed by famous architect, Richard Meier and was thrown open to public in 1997 after fourteen years of design and construction. The museum boasts an architectural triumph of its six different buildings and beautiful gardens. It houses famous paintings of renowned painters like Van Gogh, Monet and Cezanne and the architecture of the building is such that it offers spectacular views of the horizon and the entire city labyrinth spread across at the foot of the mountain.
