Profilo di Jil Köhn

Ispirata dal Surrealismo e dalla natura disegno gioielli, per uomini e donne,
al confine tra arte e design, concentrandomi sull’interazione
tra immaginazione e realtà.
La base del mio lavoro è l’esplorazione di luoghi immaginari. Cercando di dare una forma a luoghi non fisicamente collocabili e di tradurre atmosfere, creo opere che testimoniano un’apparenza terrena e allo stesso tempo soprannaturale. Nel farlo, uso esplicitamente materiali artificiali e colori energici, scelti per creare un forte contrasto tra realtà e immaginazione.
Il risultato sono oggetti surreali e sognanti, che sembrano scaturire dalla natura di un altra dimensione.
I miei gioielli – espressione di un sentimento di nostalgia per un luogo senza spazio e senza tempo – non servono solo come decorazione, ma diventano mezzo di comunicazione tra me e il mondo, così come tra chi lo indossa e chi guarda.
Attraverso l’applicazione al corpo inizia un viaggio che porta all’esterno sentimenti difficilmente esprimibili, solleticando la fantasia e lasciando spazio all’interpretazione. Il mio obiettivo è creare gioielli che facciano sorridere e ispirino l’immaginazione della gente; più precisamente, voglio creare momenti di esperienza estetica come arricchimento di una vita quotidiana oggi così connotata dall’esperienza digitale.
