How will we live together? 17th International Architecture Biennale, Venice

Also this year, Inexhibit.com will be at the Venice Biennale of Architecture to cover broadly its major exhibitions and events. The 17th edition of the Architecture Biennale – after being postponed for a year due to the pandemic – will take place from 22 May through 11 November 2021. Entitled “How will we live together?” this edition is curated by Hashim Sarkis.

On this page, you’ll find the links to all the original articles and photographs that Inexhibit.com is going to make at the 17th International Architecture Exhibition and the news published so far.

“How will we live together?”
That envisioned by Sarkis is an inclusive Biennale. From the presentation of the curator, it emerges the need to look for new paradigms to design the space in which we live.
Architecture is viewed as a discipline capable to attract different energies and skills so to give answers to global questions such as social inequalities, issues of inclusion, and environmental emergencies.

Hashim Sarkis
Sarkis is the principal architect of Hashim Sarkis Studios (HSS), established in 1998 with offices in Boston and Beirut, and Dean of the School of Architecture and Planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) since 2015. He was a member of the international jury of Biennale Architettura 2016 and participated with his firm in the Pavilion of the United States (Biennale Architettura 2014) and Albania (Biennale Architettura 2010). Sarkis earned a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design, and a Master of Architecture, and a Ph.D. in Architecture from Harvard University.
